New loop setup temps issue.

So I recently decided to change my case from a 540 Air to a 750D so I could have more space in my case to add a second pump and res. The idea behind doing this was to try and reduce my over all temps so I could run my rig a quiet as possible. I currently have it set up of 1 loop serving the CPU and motherboard and the second loop just doing 1 780Ti. Before with all blocks in the same loop, running heaven benchmark for around 30mins I was getting temps of about 40/40C now they are pushing close to 50C.

The exact setup is CPU & MB on a 340 rad in push with D5 pump and bay res. GPU on 2x240 rads one in push one in pull with D5 tube res. All fans are SP120's running at 12v

Any advice on this as to why my loops are running hotter than before. Should I just try and run it all off one loop and see what I get there?

you may have a bubble somewhere, or maybe you need to resit your cpu/gpu/motherboard blocks

I did reset the CPU block when installing all this and the CPU temps seem to be fine. I didn't touch the GPU from the last time it was installed so I'm assuming it is ok. If/when I take the loop apart I'll reseat the GPU block.

I did check that I had all bubbles out of the loop but I'll give it another go tonight.

If you had all the radiators on the same loop before it is likely due to the higher rad capacity combined. Graphics Benchmarks usually dont stress the CPU that much and you still had the combined dissipation power of the radiator available for the GPU. By separating them you will get better temps on the CPU most of the time (as the GPU runs hotter) but on taks that stress each one separaterly ( most tasks) you may get worse temps. Thats why it is usually better to run combined unless you are willing to trade higher GPU temps for lower CPU ones.

Personally I'd get the pumps in series and do it all in one loop dude. You'll get better temps (as proved)

Hmm, would it be best to keep the two current reservoirs I have or to replace them with one of the dual pump ones?

I thought that part of the problem may be the tube res that is serving the GPU is right next the the 2 240 rads because the res seemed to be very hot/warm.

I've drained the loops and I'll give it a go with both pumps and res's in series.

You dont need two res - but you can have a pump pushing into a res.

Id personally go res - res - pump but keep in mind it will be a c*'t to bleed

Yeah the only reason I have two res is because I tried running to completely separate loops. I may send the bay res back and get the dual pump/single res. I'm going to try and connect them all in series tonight and see what temps I get.
