New Intel Wolfdale Stock Cooler

Kinda sad but can we really blame them?

Yes :p

You mean due a lower TDP of the new proccys they don't need a bigger heatsink? Still, it looks like crud. I suppose it is fine for 99.9% of users out there. Any OC'er would change that for something like the TRUE/wb of choice etc.

Be interesting to see how it performs on a Prescott :p

It would melt...

Sensible move tbh. For OEMs its not gonna make the blindest bit of difference and anyone who builds the system themselves will have/be getting after market sinks.

If it was a fiver cheaper to get a cpu with no heatsink, I'm pretty sure most of us would take that. Mines not been outa the box.

OEM chips usually are at least a fiver cheaper. Shame they dont have the same warranty as retail though :(.

God, I am such a :noobsign::noobsign: :(

I totally forgot about that :p

But yes, thats kind of what I meant, just a little box with the cpu and sticker and I'm not sure how importantly, some warranty.
