New harddrive

Hey guys I want to buy a new hdd as I am running a 450gb one and its nearly full, anyways I was wondering what things would I have to do in the bios to make it so I can still run my old drive but any data is saved to the new one
Is this not posible and should I just tranfer my data to a new larger drive?

depends on the BIOS and how old, IDE or SATA. if you gotta transfer the data
then you'll deffo need to know some criteria to make it work.

If I am understanding the problem correctly, you want to keep the OS on the one you have? If so then just install the new drive and when ever you are saving something save it to the new one, simples

Yes, in most setups you will get the option to choose destination folder, from there you just select the other harddrive =)
