New GTX780 and old GTX570

I just bought a 780 and what I currently have in my computer its a 570, yes I have a 780 but I didn't made the switch yet I'm waiting for the new RAM. But getting to the point what'a hell am I going to do with my old 570 when I install the 780 I thought about using it as a dedicated physx card but whats the point ? Then I thought about OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) and that "new" feature quick sync where we can utilize the on board gpu that comes with my cpu 4770k. So here is my real question can I do the same with my old 570 ? and utilize it just for streaming so I won't be stolen of any fps by streaming directly from the 780 ?

Thank you, in advance.

I'm pretty sure you can't do that with a non onboard GPU. It'd be excellent if you could though. It'd finally mean that people could stream with high quality without using another PC.

I might try to do the same steps as the needed to make the onboard gpu work...

well I would and I could sell it for about 160€ but who wants a 500 series these days ?

Nah, keep the entire thing in one piece and use it as a keyring. Never lose your keys again :D

Good plan, wire the fan up to a 9V battery and if you get too hot then you can use it to cool your face too.

Depending which 580 it is, mine was 1.5GB one. I sold it to CEX for £75

In all seriousness, just flog it on ebay with a 99p start and no reserve, you'll probably get a good £80+ for it...

-if that's not your thing, then pass it on to a family member/friend who could use an upgrade,

-or even use it to build another rig (I've done this, mainly out of spare parts due to upragdes, like yourself... it's currently at my mum's house as a family PC until they get something better, but I was using it as a home threater rig)

-build a steambox using it...

-buy a xbox controller and use it as a sofa gaming rig with steam big picture

endless possibilities dude ;)

This forum is very helpful no trolls no stupid assholes and shit, really glad I came here to ask something.

Thank you barnsley for your input on the matter. I might give it a try as I said earlier or yesterday and if you're interested in knowing the result...
