I recently purchased a new computer Everything was working fine until recently when I loaded up

crysis 64 bit. The game will launch but when i try to shoot my weapon

it freezes, I can still hear the audio though. The exact same thing

happens in grand theft auto 4, the game will load, and I can play it

but it freeze when I try to shoot a weapon or crash a car, and I can still hear

audio. Half life 2 plays fine, those are the only games I have so I

cant provide a more detailed error list. I am running the latest

nvidia drivers. I am not doing any overclocking what so

ever. Using gpu-z the cards temps are around 54 Celsius when it crashes.

my set up:

ausus p8 p67 deluxe

intel i7 2600k (stock settings) with good temps going no higher than 50 C on full load

corsair H70 cooler

corsair dominator gt 1866 mhz 8GB

corsair ax 850W powersupply

Palit GTX 580 (stock settings)

advice please

thanks guys

back on topic: you could try and ask at the steam forums if you still have problems

You could uninstall and clean drivers (use DriverSweeper) and then install older drivers. Sometimes nvidia makes a mess with new drivers.

no neither of them bought through steam. i have the latest drivers. but the problem didnt start when i installed the new drivers, they were working just fine, it just started randomly, do you think that it could still be the drivers?

I had a few issues with my 580's, installed latest drivers 266.58 and was alot better......

Do you have 3D vision???? as that was messing with mine also, so I uninstalled it (Don't use it that much, give me a blinding headache)
