New GPU Decision

Hi all

The purpose is buying a new GPU is to play company of heroes 2 basically maxed out on 1080p. Choices are as follows:

760 ~ £150
770 ~ £200
780 ~ £240

prepared to buy a 780 but if I can get away with either of the others obviously saving money is a good thing

A 770 should be fine at 1080p

£215 will net you a GTX 780 or £199 for a R9 290 DD overclockers are doing some deals atm.

For CoH2 the only real cards to consider are AMD. They perform much much better. A R9 290 performs better than a 780ti in that game. However the game engine itself is not very AFR friendly for either AMD or Nvidia so its best to stick to a single more powerful GPU.

A 290 is your best option here. Also the game perfers Intel CPUs. It runs well with AMD but you need to OC it like crazy to get about the same performance as an i7.
