Hi all, I'm new to these forums but have watched TimeToLiveCustoms videos on the Tube that is You for a while.
Anyway, to the point. I'm building a new rig (the parts come tomorrow) but I have a question about one aspect of m build. I'll post the spec first so you all know what I'm working with:
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
Case: Corsair 800D Obsidian
Motherboard: Asus Maximus IV Extreme-Z (Z68 Chipset)
CPU: Intel i7 2600K 3.4Ghz (Will be overclocking to 4.6Ghz)
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti 448 Core Edition Classified (Will be overclocking)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR3 1600Mhz Dual Channel (4x4)
CPU Cooler: Corsair H80
SSD 1: Corsair 120GB Force Series 3 (for OS)
HDD 1: WD 2TB Caviar Green
HDD 2: WD 1TB Caviar Green (recycled from older machine)
HDD 3: WD 1TB Caviar Green (recycled from older machine)
Optical Drive: Blu-Ray ReWriter (Recycled from older machine - Can't remember manufacturer)
PSU: Corsair Gold AX750
Anyway, on to the question at hand.
Am I going to be getting compatibility issues with using the OCZ Synapse Cache drive when I have an SSD as my primary drive and will probably be using the included Dataplex software or will the cache drive also benefit the SSD also? If so can someone give me a heads up on how to configure it all? Last time I built a machine SSDs werent around.
On a side note (and I think I know the answer already) do you think my PSU will be able to handle a second GTX560 Ti 448? I'm started to regret not buying a larger capacity PSU like the AX1200. I'm terrible at working out voltages etc.
Thanks in advance.
