New G92 Card On The Way

I read something about that on a different site about BFG marketing this card.

BFGTech GeForce 8800 GTS EE OC 640MB

On the same day that NVIDIA is kicking off the very affordable 8800 GT, we are getting our first official word on the new 8800 GTS part from BFGTech.

Lake Forest, IL – (October 29, 2007) – BFG Technologies®, Inc., the leading North American and European NVIDIA supplier of advanced 3D graphics cards, motherboards, power supplies and other PC enthusiast products, announced today the BFG NVIDIA® GeForce® 8800 GTS OC 640MB Extreme Edition PCI Express™ graphics card for a suggested retail price of $499 USD.

“By increasing the number of Stream Processors from 96 to 112 on our award winning BFG NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS OC 640MB graphics card,” said Dean Brady, Sr. Director of marketing at BFG Technologies, “we are able to give our new Extreme Edition an additional performance boost that our customers have come to expect from BFG.”

The BFG NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS EE OC 640MB is available exclusively at CompUSA.

BFG NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS EE OC 640MB:

This might be something a bit different, don't know for sure, only time will tell.

I also read on another forum that the new GTS is not going to be as good as the 8800GT as it was going to be based on the G80 core and not the G92.

Obviously this is rubbish as you've just proven it's a G92. Wonder how the new G92 GTS really does perform in relation to the current G80 GTX and ultra

Then the new GTX and ultra will be like amazing (and about £600 prolly)

I'll still be happy with the 8800gt :)

Hmmmm. Well, having bought the 8800GT on a whim, only to read this 2 days later leaves me feeling meh.

Looks like I'll sell the GT on very quickly!

The GTX needs to come out already, I hope it's £400ish not £600ish.

Or just keep the GT until the new 9800's one day make an appearance?

But then after selling the GT for the GTS/GTX to find out the 9800 will be out in 6 months. That would make you 'meh' lol

Meh, read Kemps review tbh.

Looking at u`r setup, if anything doesn`t play well under it - the game is crap imo.

Stick with the GT, clinch new driversets as they`re released, and I`d personally, if I were u, w8 til the creme that comes out after the GTS b4 buying again.

Sometimes u gotta take time to basque in the glory of what u got. (and don`t make purchases to compensate for shoddy programming :p )
