WOW EK is about to release new full coverage water blocks for the G80. Here's the one for the 8800GTX:

They're in the last phase of testing before the final production run.
Now I really can't wait to get my hands on a pair of these to review them and compare them with the new full coverage blocks from Danger Den - the NV-88's. A few more shots:

Testing aside, it looks ready to go. Looks nice, like an Alien that straps to u`r face.

What`s the price of one of these likely to be ?

*drool*

Are the gpu/ram/other ic layouts on the GTX and GTS the same?

ie gpu blocks do both.

The GTS version has a different alu piece (the part that has the "EK" logo on it) as the VRM's are different on the GTS.

That is really dissapointing news - unlike the Germans to overlook things like that - I was looking forward to getting a SilenX with a 8800gtx Jan/Feb.

I don't like the look of the Ek block (I know for some people thats practically blasphemy)

You are entitled to your opinion. . .however wrong it may be!!:whack: ;)

EK blocks are like watercooling p0rn. . .

Hmmm the first full cover waterblock design I ever really support though I still think the "spare" channeling around the center could be deeper.

You might wanna take a look inside a NV-88 before you say they're better.

Now look at Eddy's version and how much cleaner it is:

If I had to buy a FC block for my 8800GTX's with no performance data, EK gets the nod on build quality. . .and it's only $110 shipped to Philly, PA - less than the NV-88 ($135 plus shipping)

How much heat will a 8800GTX dump into a cooling loop...?

Would I be able to escape with a PA120.2 which would be cooling (eventually) a dual 8800GTX rig and clocked E6600?? Would prob have SilenX highish 38mm deep 120mm fans on the rad.

Thoughts all??

Philly - you are beginning to convince me about EK. The DD just looks fit! Looking forward to the results mate.

Mullet - I doubt that rad will be sufficient, you would be pushing it with your e6600 oc'd with two 'nornal' gpu's in sli. Really in that circumstance a tripple rad would provide optimum temps, dual rad such as yours could cope though.

Exchange those 'normal' gfx cards for 2 8800's which dump about 80 deg C each under load (at stock speeds - oc those and the temps go higher) then your double rad will most likely fail to meet your cooling needs... :(

Wow that Danger Den looks really :cussing: inside. Also it looks like almost all the water flow is through the plastic or am I wrong?
