New Desk Build

Great craftsmanship, but I would have tried to cut a line on the wall a little cleaner with the paint. That or put painter's tape down and paint over it. That black is going to be hard to hide later.

ye i will have to go over it with a white undercoat several times before i put my main color on the wall

No, what you need to do is brush in 1 primer coat on the cut-in where the black is, then paint your finish coat on about 3-4 coats until it's covered. Shouldn't need more than 3 or 4, but depending on how well u can paint, might take 5. I would recommend flat plaint for this, will take less coats to cover. You can prime it as much as u want but it will still bleed through, but your walls are already primed from the last paint job so where the black is will be the only area that needs primed. Trust me, my first job was a painter's apprentice. I worked as a residential and commercial painter for 3 years. Still do the occasional side job with my old boss when I need the extra cash.

ok thanks for the advice, looks like it will be copule months before i will be able to paint the room i have ran into a bite of a debat problem.

thanks evry one for the comments

I really like the design and construction/function of the desk, but dude the finish on the black paint is well... awful in my honest opinion, needs at least one undercoat in primer and sanding to get a nice smooth black finish :/

i did a white undercoat (primer) and it took me 5 coats of the black to cover it and 4 coats of varnish (gloss vanish) on it

Its good but I think you can do better with the finish on the wood. Maybe some veneer or some di noc sheeting just to polish it off

Good job though :)
