New CPU?

So, I just stumbled upon a great offer (I think). The new Intel C2D E8400 without the stock HS for only £150. So I was wondering if it's actually any good? I've already got the Quad-core Q6600 G0-CPU, so is there any point in swapping?

So actually it's at a normal pricing level? Then I'll probably don't bother...How well will it overclock/perform, set up against the Q6600? And does anyone know the temp benefits with a 45nm-CPU?

I believe that the dual cores are better in games because of there higher clock freqs and not many games being optimised for quad cores, but maybe in the future quads will perform better.
