Got a fair bit more planned for it including replacing the grill on the front with a metal mesh :)

Turned out dam fine. Can i have my jigsaw blades back now?

And next thing: Spray ur dam floppy drive.

thankyou for the posative feedback :) i will be spraying the floppy front black but im not sure what else to do. I will probably replace the LEDs with better / brighter ones and was thinking of putting a frosted panel in one of the drive covers with LEDs around it and maybe build a low-flowrate warning system with some red LEDs behind it for when i get my watercooling. As for the front grill im not so sure now. Any suggestions?

Great job llwyd!! That looks very very good, the cuts are well rounded/edged and it looks pro.

Thats a great way to take a cheap case and make it much more modderific!

I like the mesh effect with it too, looks so nice. :worship:

Real nice...

What did you use for the cutting?

yea just high teeth-per-inch blade, preferable with as little paint on as possible as the heat can make that rub off. and have one or two extra as aluminium like to clog blades up something fierce

ta mate...better to use a jigsaw for those non-circular cuts than a dremel/holesaw?? I ask becauase I'll be hacking my eclipse 62 case top next week to fit my thermochill FG120.2 fangrill and PA120.2 radiator..

Ta mate.

yes is the sense that you have a footplate on it that you can use as a guide, nevertheless, getting a straight line is not easy so have a file ready :) umm, make sure you mask off all the area that you want to keep to prevent scratching (use a 24hr+ masking tape) . Depending on the paint finish on the case it might be best to cut the plate from the back as jig blades cut on the upstroke. what else.....umm.... use a half inch drillbit on each inward corner, with the edges of the hole touching the cut line (this helps with rounded edges and getting the cut started) and make sure you build up to the 1/2" with about 3 bits ascending in size :)
