F FTLN Active member Apr 26, 2012 #7 The extremely High idle temps are caused by dual monitor config on 480.. 480 is unable to downclock core/mem due to memory incompatability... I have just stuck in a old 8800gt for the second monitor and now idle temps are low 50's.... All explained here and there is no fix http://www.evga.com/...=372210&mpage=1 http://forums.legitreviews.com/about26995.html
