Over the next few months I will be building a rig for the wife as she is fed-up with her laptop. She doesnt need a gaming machine,play music, some games,burning a few DVD, the odd letter now again.So what Im after is some advise,a good graphic card but not too expensive which last a few years.

You can pick up an 8800GS for around £60 around some places.. That'd probably tide you over for a while, and play games at reasonable quality if she does decide she wants to...
