New build :)

Hello everyone, as you can probably see I am a 'newbie' in OC3D :)

I need some help/advice on the new rig I am going to be building. I am new to the PC world therefore there might be things that I won't understand but I should be able to understand most because I've read a lot about PC's, overclocking etc. Enough talky talky, here's the rig my friend designed me :

i3 3220
z77 Pro3
HD 7870 Tahiti LE
Corsair CX500/600
500GB/1TB Seagate Barracuda (7200rpm)
Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600mhz.
I will be getting a rosewill ranger case with a dvd drive for £25 from iBeInspire, my very good friend.

My budget is approximately £550  What do you think about it ? Is there anything I could change ?

+ I will be upgrading into an i5 or an i7 cpu later on and I am definitely going to get a SSD when I have the money for it.

Thanks :)

seumasbeathan and Feronix, what can I cut down on ? do you have an idea for that ? + I dont think ill need a 1tb hard drive to be honest. The ssd will have windows on it and my editing programs etc as I want to do graphic design when Im older after Uni etc. I'll probably throw in one or two games on the ssd aswell ... I won't need much more space on the hard drive x.x I might have some games on the hard drive but nothing much more ... Im thinking because a 250GB hard drive might be enough, not too sure. Thanks a lot for your help :)

Tbh 250GB or 500GB drives are only like £10-£15 cheaper than a 1TB drive, so I would recommend you just get the 1TB, after all you can never have to much storage

Also, a clean Windows install takes up about 20GB. Basically, you could just get a 32GB drive. Even if you install your programs like PhotoSoup and whatnot on the mechanical drive they will still benefit from the performance increase that's on Windows itself :)

Honestly, the only other thing that you can massively cut down on is the GPU, but then you'd want a new one after a while  I often end up suggesting people to buy *just* over their budget as it does add a fair bit of performance that I think is worth it, just like in your case :)

I agree :) Ill just stick to what I have listed at the top but apply the changes seumasbeathan suggested :) Thanks a lot for all the help :PP
