New Build (Updated Again)

Hey guys I'm building a PC for the first time and I think after a bunch of research I know what I'm getting finally. Still not completely sure on all my parts and was looking for some advice/input.

What I am planning on getting so far:

Intel i7-2600k

Noctua NH-D14

Asus P8P67 Pro Motherboard

Cooler Master 922 HAF Mid-tower case

16 GB Mushkin Enhanced Blackline 1600mhz RAM

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 570

Corsair AX850 Professional Power Supply

Crucial C300 128GB SSD

Samsung Spinpoint F3 1 TB HDD

I'm planning on using the rig for gaming as well as some other java based programs.(I do need the ram.) I'm pretty much certain on the 2600K and from what I've read I think the MB is a good choice for the price. I know Mushkin is good ram but I hear good things about G.Skill was well. As for the graphics card I'm still uncertain. I originally wanted the R6950 Twin FrozR III but I think the non-ref Gigabyte 570 may be a better investment.(Also considering MSI TFIII 570?) As for the power supply I should be all set as Corsair is always a great choice. $200 for the C300 SSD which I think is a good deal for its performance. For the HDD I hear both the F3's and the WD Cav Blacks are good and I'm really not sure which I should get.

Would really appreciate any advice. Thanks!

It's down to a choice between the two graphics cards you mentioned now, everything else I think has been pretty much sorted from the multitude of topics on this.

my f3 died, not saying its going to happen to you but i think Dugdiamonds died aswell.

get the nvidia card and mushkin are probably better than g skill, though ridgeback would be a better choice

Then my recommendation would be a Seagate Barracuda 7200.12, ignore that it's SATA III the SATA II drive isn't available anymore.

I have 2 Samsung drives and love them had less trouble with them than with the Seagate drives i have owned you could also look at Hitachi drives a mate of mine has used them heaps with never any trouble.
