New Avatar and Signature Rules

Hi people

As part of the "clean up" we're doing we are reviewing the Avatar and Signature rules

There is to be NO Nudity/Semi-Nudity in any AV's or Sigs.

There is to be NO Swearing/abuse/abusive language

There is to be NO Reference to Drugs/Illegal substances in ANY way. Please we are not stupid so even if it is a covert reference we will know.

There will be NO exceptions/arguments

Anybody not conforming to these rules will have their AV/Sig taken down without warning

Just to Cover everything:

* Signature images must not exceed 100kb.

* One image per signature.

* Use of font greater than 'Size 4' is forbidden.

* Text must be stretched lengthways if it goes outside the size rule below.

* All signatures regardless of whether they be text or images must fit within the following box (500w x 150h px):

I remember surfing the forums from work and coming across threads with huge animated sigs that were like 1mb and it literally took about 3 minutes for the page to load. Not happy. If we strictly enforce these sig guidelines it should make the forum a lot more dialup friendly.

Yep agreed, my old 'T' sig would have been a sod on dialup. Although new sig is much better...only thing is I have to now change it.

Btw Frag you need to update the link in your signature ( Project MK47 ) to oc3d , currently its pointing to SX.

For some reason mine seems too big. Altho my photoshop canvas was set to 500*150 (just made it ). Is it ok?

BUMP for those who haven't read this and for all the newbies.

I think we are going to have to reduce this to one image per signature + a SMALL amount of text, or just text.

FYI: All mods/admins will be enforcing this soon so please sort your sigs out unless you want them to magically disappear.

Whats classified as a 'small' amount of text? Or is it just a case by case basis. It'd be good to have a number of lines and/or a pixel limit.
