Basically, just wanted to see thoughts on what I'm starting to put together, been looking around a lot and this is what i've come up with so far that i'd like to order for new AMD gaming PC.

Budget isn't terribly low, but deff. don't want to be spending a fortune.

So Far:

-Sunbeam AC-9B-HUVB Blue Clear Acrylic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

-MSI 890FXA-GD70 AM3 AMD 890FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

-AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition Thuban 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor HDT90ZFBGRBOX

-SAPPHIRE 100281-3SR Radeon HD 5870 (Cypress XT) 1GB 256-bit DDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card w/ Eyefinity

-Antec 500W green PS (Have already)

This is what I've picked so far, any suggestions on a nice RAM set

Keep in mind i'm not an expert and looking for thoughts and suggestions to finish off or change...

Thanks guys!

PS. The video card is 299.99, now I deff. want a HD 5870 for now...Any suggestions on the best brand or best "bang for it's buck" 5870? There's probably deff. something cheaper for that.

Thanks again

Try the vapour x version if u wanna overclock. Also look for mushkin or corsair dominators or xms series ot kingston ram dual channel rams of course.

Im guessing the 299.99 is USD? if so you can get the vapor X version off of newegg for 290 and after rebates is down to 260, pretty much the cheapest one on there from my quick look

Another option would be a 6950 for a little more performance, its $300 and down to $280 after rebates for a MSI or Power Color version.

If you dont mind the extra outlay a GTX570 would be an nice jump in performance, you can get an MSI one for 350 with a $20 rebate so down to $330.

I myself would go for the 570 as there exelent cards, fairly quiet and not all that hot, plus you can join the folding@home team we have here

For the case you may want to pick something like a coolermaster rc 690, lian li lancool PC-K7B or for a little more (i think around $40?) a nzxt phantom, a friend of mine used a very similar case to that sunbeam (may have been the same one im not 100% sure) not long ago and it looks awful, its near impossable to hide any cables and has a distinct tacky feel.

Oh and i didnt notice any ram in the list, if you havent decided on any yet then i highly recomend the Mushkin redline 1600mhz cas 6 kit, heres the LINK
