Never Overclocked!! :P

Hi all finally back and had a read through the posts. There are some really good points.

@Wrighty The above review is about how many cores games actually use so you might want to have a read if your considering the i3 or 955 BE.

Hi Karlos, with reply to your post i would say 3 cores is fine. In this rig im getting rid of its played BFBC2 ok tbh and its a bag of S**T lol its a Dell for starters,

CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E6300

GPU - XFX GeForce 8600gt

RAM - 3gb of Kingston

HDD - 250gb

So i think anythin is a decent upgrade from that lmao

lol your's beats mine. Currently stuck with my E6600 with 2GB of RAM and a X800 :$ <-- ashamed face.

You'll have to let us know what kind of person you are.

Are you the kind that would like a great CPU and motherboard now and wouldn't mind and wouldn't mind adding more cards to it later (eventually spending more than £600)? If so then maybe you could go the 2500K route.

Or are you the kind that wants to spend £600 now to get the best rig he can for that money and then leave it for another 3 to 5 years before buying another? If so I recommend the i3/955 route. If so also confirm if you rather go for the faster 2 core i3 or a 3/4 core AMD. Gota say that I'm a AMD fan you may not get a unbiased opinion from me but I will say that if your going AMD then you would may be best going AMD all the way as AMD boards only support two cards in crossfire not SLI. However if your not willing to spend more than £600, including future upgrades then this might not be an issue. Also could we stretch over £600 like by 50 quid or so, or is £600 the limit?
