Hallo dear people :)

I live in a very old house from 1828, so i need some advise on some wireless network. Have found out that you can get some very fast network whit the new "ac" mode.

The thing i use my internet to is gaming, browsing and so on ;)

Have found this card and will hear what you have to say on the card:

ASUS PCE-AC68 AC1900 Wireless Adapter

Kind regards,

Christian

For general web browsing, you would get away with using Wirelees G, N would be overkill, and ac, well that way too much :)

That wireless N card would be enough for your needs, and is more than 1/4 of the price of the AC card.

You would more likely benefit from AC when you are streaming HD (1080) over network, and gaming.

The thing you have got to watch, with it being an old house is the signal strength, as the interior walls will most likely be brick, also if the wiring in the house hasn't been updated in a while, that might (A slim chance) it might throw off some interference, which would degrade wireless signal.

If you are dead set on AC, remember you will have to replace router / wireless access point to be AC also to take advantage of it (if you not already got one).

Now that out the way, that network card is really good from what I have seen in reviews elsewhere, and can't fault it, but not having one personally, I can't comment from a personal perspective on how it is.
