Hello gentlemen,
First off, I want to thank everyone for you time and help with my PC.
I sent the following to Tom on YouTube, and he directed me to this great forum! Thanks for that brother!
Hey Tom,
I just found your channel yesterday through looking for high end graphics cards (GTX 570) and have to say that I absolutely love your reviews, they are very professional and I very much appreciate the time you take to make them!
I am a huge game fan and own most consoles (including PS3/360 etc.) and I also am an arcade gamer as well. I own 3 cabs, 1 Neo-Geo "Big Red" wooden cab and 2 sit down Japanese cabinets. Great fun! I love Shmups!
With that said, I could use some help. I recently had my old pc die on me last Monday which was a 7 year old HP Pavilion 720n that was stock and had integrated graphics etc.; needless to say I did not use it for gamming.
These are the cards that I have been dealt with. My wife works at home for work 1 day a week so we needed a pc fast, I have a basic knowledge of pc's ...learning every day.
I tried to get the best pc that my budget could afford and that was readily available to me. My wife wanted a $500-$600 pc tower so she could run Microsoft Word and surf the net, bottom line is i talked her into an $800 HP HPE-400 and went latter that night and decided to up to the HPE-410y for the six core processor and spend a bit out of my own side funds (game funds)
.
I'm asking if you think a GTX 570 or 560 would be a good choice for me. Your reviews on these cards have me sold, but will I get good performance from my PC?
The questions that I have for you are is my 6 core fast enough for these cards?
-Is the 1045t a good processor?
-Was the upgrade to a six from a 4 core worth my extra money?
-I will need a power supply, any suggestions?
-Could I make any mods to my tower case to make it cooler? (Thinking of when I game, just taking the side panel off)
I don't mind cutting a bit off the side panel and putting an insert of metal mesh holes or something along those lines etc.
Would the cards with just stock parts other than the power supply and graphics cards operate sufficiently? (How much minimum power on the power supply will I need?)
Thank you so very much for your time and help Tom!
Keep up the phenomenal reviews brother!
Take care!
Any and all suggestions is truly appreciated, maybe some links too?
I can't thank everyone enough for the help!
