Hi Chaps

I brought a new 6800 Ultra and sold my ATI 9800 XT

10 days later the person that brought my 9800 tells me that its got artifacts all over the screen from boot up.

This card was working from the point I sold it...

- What I would like to know if Flashing the BIOS might help??? (doubt it)

- I am assuming these artifacts are a result of over clocking with with crap cooling

- also I want to see what version the bios is at and see if thats been changed

and finally does anyone have the bits of the original HS+Fan so I can send it back and get a replacement. I have some bits

HELP......

Its stuffed mate, its a tell tale sign of pushing it too hard. I've done this to a couple of my cards before, and I got exactly the same type of problem. Its' fubared, apparently the only potential fix is a volt mod, but its not something I have any experience with.

Cheers. Just what I thought..

My only option is to get the original HS+Fan back on and see if I can get it replaced..

so you have any bits for the original HS+Fan that I might use???

Cheers

Yep its had it...

If phil is right then there is an easy pencil volt mod u can do which is located here

Im also guessing that ur thinking does the guy have any rights to make me give hin his money back... simple answer.. No !

He has no legal right at all... sold as seen m8...

10 days was it working when he first bought it if it was and he said it was then it could be someat he has done??

he says that it was not working but I beg to differ as I was playing Far Cry on the day I took that card out...

I think that I have all the bits so I am going to see if I can return it and get a new one. :o)

Sorry but the guy is feedin u total BS..

It took him 10 days to get in contact with u cos its broken..?

It wouldnt take me 1 day let alone 10...

I agree with Animal there. I think it's something he's done and wants to get money back for another card in my opinion.

GL in sorting this one out mate.
