Hello this is my first post so i hope i dont screw anything up please let me know if i do. so here it goes i and planning to build a budget pc for gaming and coding my budget is a little tight as i am 19 and unemployed so heres what i plan on building i know its pretty out of date hardware but i really cant buy newer stuff till i get a job i have only purchased the motherboard cpu cooler and graphics card so far so any advice on the rest would be greatly appreciated also need some advice on a cheap case i was going to go with the thermaltake v4 but after seeing some stuff online i might as well build a case out of cardboard so now i am thinking the in win gt1 great cable mangment and cooling any advice would help out alot as this is my first build

motherboard:msi p7n platinum
cpu:intel core 2 duo e8400 3.0ghz (the reason for this cpu is because its cheap and a friend told me it can be overclocked quite easy)
cpu cooler: nexus xir-3500 copper ed (the reason for this cooler is because i am a sucker for copper it just looks good and it got great reviews i also only pick this up nib for 15.00)
video cards:x2 evga 9800 gt's in sli (i know your thinking why not just buy a better single one for the price? and thats because i got a great deal on the two at only 38.00)
memory:g skill ddr2 800mhz 2x2gb(plan on adding 4gb more when i can)
psu:apevia atx-cb700w 700w power supply(the reason for this is because its 45.00 and it has two 12v rails most psu's under 50.00 did not)
case:advice?

I guess the question is what is your maximum budget you are prepared to spend?

Personally I always find it cheaper to pay the extra and get something that will last and you will be happy with mid-term, else it actually costs you more essentially.

How much are you paying for that core 2 duo? The 9800s in SLI are too powerhungry for my liking, best sell them off.

It would help if you would say where you are from as well.

for the duo 2 im seeing them online for 20-23 i live i georgia but im from michigan my dad got relocated here thats why its been so difficult for me to find a job we have been here for a year and nobody seems intrested in hireing a entry lvl that explains why i want to get into coding and do a fair amount of online gaming i learned some coding a few years ago but had to stop for school and it paid off i graduated 8 months early what would you whats your advice for graphics cards? i mean i did the online caculator for the cards in sli with everything and it said 380w i dont know if thats correct though thats why i went with the 700w duel rail power supply but can change it because all i have purchased is the cooler board and graphics cards
