SPS Moderator Dec 24, 2011 #1 Hey guys so my brother bought my a Blu-Ray drive and I'm having trouble playing a Blu-Ray disc. I'm using Cyberlink PowerDVD9 that came with the drive but I keep getting the error, unsupported file format Does anyone have any ideas? Cheers, Scott.

SPS Moderator Dec 24, 2011 #2 So it turns out that the software bundled with the drive, PowerDVD9 was the issue. I downloaded PowerDVD11 and it works fine. So can anyone recommend me any software to watch Blu-Rays on? Cheers

Excalabur50 Well-known member Dec 24, 2011 #3 I use power dvd 11 works fine for most movies out there. If it won't play it then I use VLC.

Everything except Blu-Ray it would seem I think that the software has to be licensed by Sony in order to read it. I've got the PowerDVD11 trial now, kinda wish that 9 would work seen as I got it with the drive itself

SPS Moderator Dec 24, 2011 #6 It also won't let me play them on my second screen because it is connected via VGA
