Hey guys, simply I want to tell you that I need a new gaming/editing PC. I use photoshop a lot, I edit videos using Sony Vegas, I develop mobile apps and websites (a lot of coding), and of course gaming.
I have a 17inch monitor at 1280x1024 resolution right now (probably getting a 23 inch for 1080p in the future), and I want to play all of modern games these days (BF3, Crysis 2, etc) at the very maximum settings possible.

These are some bundles I can find at the local stores here. They are all $700 for each bundle. Here are the parts:
Bundle A
Intel Core i5 3570
AsRock z77 Pro3
Zotac GTX 670 AMP!

Bundle B
Intel Core i7 3770
AsRock z77 Pro3
Zotac GTX 660Ti AMP!

Bundle C
Intel Core i5 3570k
AsRock z77 extreme4
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
Zotac GTX 660Ti AMP!

So which one should I get?
One more thing, I'm allowed to swap the Zotac 660 Ti AMP! with the Club 3d 7950 (the stock one, not the Royal King that Tom reviewed), so please tell me which one to get if you choose the 660 Ti bundle.

Regards,
Dre

None of them xD

Get a 3770k, an MSI Z77A G45, and a HD 7950 (IMO the 660ti is a complete waste of money, similar performance to a 7870 but costs a lot more)

Too bad I can't do that because I won't get discount for the total which means I am gonna need another $120, which i don't have.

I don't know, the seller told me about those bundles and the only thing I can change is that 660Ti with 7950, other than that I get the normal price without any discount. I have seen the price before, and I would probably spend around $750 if I buy the parts in the bundle separately, so I think those are pretty good deals. I only have $700 right now for the CPU+mobo+GPU.

I dont reckon he's giving you any discount. He's just making you think he is. The 3770k is the cpu to get which retails in Australia for $337. The Asrock Z77 Pro3 goes for $103. The Zotac card I cant find anywhere but the Gigabyte 660Ti goes for $279.

That's $719. Personally, I would tell this guy to stick his 'bargain' where the sun doesnt shine. The Asrock Pro3 is about as cheap and crappy a mobo as you can get, but hey, to each his own, as they say.

If I were you I would hold out, save up some more money, then get the parts I really want, not the ones some putz is trying to flog off on me.

The Asrock Extreme4 is a much better motherboard and retails for $145 in Australia, but it's still not great. I dont understand the logic of buying the flagship 3770k and then putting it in the crappiest motherboard on the market....

If you are doing lots of coding/compiling the 3770k is the chip you want.

on the gaming side, im sure the ASRock is fine, but for vid edit/render.. they are
not that good..
only thing i found in 1155 for OC and vid appz are ASUS and MSI.
i dont game (soon to get into it), but the cheaper the board the dodgier the vid
performance. for me, ASRock boards just don't work in that type of environment
well. OC CPU/RAM and adobe crashes them on a moderate OC. my MIVE-Z with
the same OC settings and super stable and renders like a champ.
then comes the GPU portion. something in the ASRock PCI-e in single/SLI mode
seem to "wratchet" and studder. again, same settings on the ASUS or MSI GD80
no problems.. i like the P67 boards, do not care for the Z68 or Z77 boards..
for video appz.

Thanks for all your advices guys, I think I'll postpone my build. I just knew that Intel is going to launch a new CPU (Haswell) around June 2013, so I guess it will be worth waiting for. If Haswell turns out to be a lot more expensive than the Ivy Bridge, then I'll stick to the 3770k and get a good motherboard because the price will drop by then. So, what z77 motherboard do you think is good enough for my need?
For overclocking, I guess I'll be happy with 4.2-4.5 GHz, so I don't think I'll need a really high-end motherboard for that. I've been thinking : Gigabyte Z77X - D3H, MSI Z77A-GD55 or ASUS Z77-V LX.
