Need a little help choosing a phone.

Hey guys. So, my contract is up in January, with three, and I have to choose another phone. Now, for the last few years I've owned every HTC flagship, from the Sensation to the One M7, but now I can't decide between the One M9 and LG G4. I think the M9 just isn't a big enough change, it would just feel like I got a new M7. On the other hand, the G4 has a great screen and camera, but sub par external speaker (compared to the stereo BoomSound ones on the M9) and the UI is not as refined as HTCs Sense. Basically, should I go the tried and tested way, or try something new? Cheers for any ideas.

Personally after reading up on the M9 I'd say the M8 is the better phone, and like you basically everyone would agree it's hardly an upgrade. I think it actually did worse on battery test iirc. I have the M8 and love it. Amazing phone and the blinkfeed is the coolest smartphone feature out there imo. I'd say its better than the M9 simply because it is much cheaper and basically the same thing.

My brother has the Lg G3 and it's also an amazing phone imo. The LG G4 is certainly better than the G3 however so imo it's very well deserving of a purchase:)

Between the G4 and the M9 with all that in mind, I'd say G4 hands down.

If you want to try something different have a look at the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge
I've had mine for awhile now and it's a great phone

Never liked the Galaxy line, mostly because of the UI. In any case, I am considering the Z5 as well, kind of a compromise between M9 and G4, stereo speakers, decent camera. I'll have to see how those leather backs feel on the G4, maybe it might help me make a decision.

I was going to get a G4 but I'm glad I didn't because the S6 Edge smashes it, the screen and camera are a knockout. After owning an S3 when it was big in its day I said I'd never get another galaxy but they've stepped up so much with the S6 Edge.

Sony phones are crap IMO, they break/deteriorate super quick from experience.
The Nexus 6P is a great phone and OnePlus Two has good value for money.

Also use Nova Launcher if you don't like TouchWiz, I use it on all my phones so the layout is the same regardless.

I went for a green Xperia Z5. I like it so far, good compromise between a decent skin on top of Android, above average speakers, amazing headphone output quality, a few steps above my old M7, and that wasn't bad either. The only problem is, if I have clean hands, it's as slippery as an eel.
