Need 4 speed - help required

I am currently getting 3641 from my P4 2.8C Northwood (Mach II) but would like to see if I can stable at 4000 or near. The rest of the system is:

Abit IC7-G (Bios 18 - will not update beyond 18 )

1024MB OCZ PC3700 Rev 2 Gold

ATI 9800XP 256 (watercooled)

Northbridge watercooled

and my settings are:

I have tried changing the GAT from auto settings but any change results in a failure to boot beyond chip detection. Any ideas?

try disabling your last two options in GAT

your mem timings are 3 8 3 3?

what ram are u using?

Well, as I put in the second line of the spec : 1024MB OCZ PC3700 Rev2 Gold (2x512 matched)

Those timings are very slack for that memory. I could use 2.5,4,4,6 with my OCZ 3700 Gold.

i could use cl 2.5 3 3 6 in my ocz iirc it was rev 1 and had 5/4 issues so it had to go though....

try to increase your vcore! My old 2.8M0 needs 1.8v to hit 3.8 on air cooling.

Fixed it. The strap ratio was set to 1:1 - moved it to 5:4 and am now up to 3641 stable. Had to keep the slack RAM timings however, wont post if I tightem them down. However, any changes on the GAT settings away from auto result in complete post failure and subsequent bios reset.
