Hi Guys

I have just changed my case to the Corsair 600T, and I have to say I love the case, might ppost some pictures soon when I have a few moments.

Anyway the TEMPS

All temps seem ok, appart from the NB at idle its about 70-72c degree's, under load (Well I have been running Prime95 for 20 minutes, and NB is 76c ...... this sounds hot to me, but I can't remember what it was before the change.

Any idea's of what I can do?

Thanks

yer that seems pretty toasty! i also read X58 are generally hot. Have u got the active chipset cooler? I saw in a review it came with one?

No fella, just using the heatsinks that are installed on the board...... Trouble is I can't remember looking what the NB was before, so don't know whether this is normal or not......

Like ruthless said its probably not worth worrying about there plenty other people in the same situation

oh and i just noticed u had 2 gpu's thats whats causing it anyway, it because of the lack of good airflow over the heatsinks.

Have had Prime95 running for over an hour now, and the NB temp never went over 80c, & SB never went over 67c....... CPU temps are pretty good - Highest it went was 57c....

So with the NB & SB temps anything to worry about ?

I would worry about it, the northbridge on my motherboard got overheated and the onboard video is now messed up, who knows what else might go with it?

The x58 is a hot chip at the end of the day. If your worried about the temps, you could change the TIM, which ASUS unofficially suggested for the 790i ultra boards, and probably won't void the warranty. Alternatively, position a fan so that it is blowing across the motherboard.

80C seems a bit high, but then again that is under prime stress, so ordinarily it shouldn't get too hot. Check that whilst gaming it doesn't get too hot from convection from the GPUs but don't sweat it too much, I doubt that it is that heat sensitive.

Idle around 55'C without fan 60'C on load.

With fan it never goes over 50'C.

Im running a 200MHz BCLK which requires addition NB voltage too.

Is the NB heatsink hot to the touch? If not then it suggests that it is not in contact with the NB itself.

Those are hot temps

I have changed back to my trusty NH-D14 and the NB temps are 63c and SB 59c, I'm guessing having 2 x GTX580 next to these Conponants are probably the cause?

What do you guys reckon
