Hello i have the Crosshair Formula IV 8909FX and the 1090T. I was thinking about overclocking the North bridge but i haven't done this a lot, so i am gonna ask you guys for some suggestions. What settings should i try out and what performance gain can i expect? Ive read that fps in games would go up?

I'm water cooling the MB soon so temps would be good.

Any help on this matter would be appreciated.

Looks like i must try and find out more myself, and that's fine. If anyone come across a guide or something, please let me know.

Have a good weekend folks.

Hi Azurite,

I've only just seen this thread while trawling through all the new posts since I was last on.

Sadly I can't help or give advice as I've not actually used an AMD platform since the 939 days.

The reason for my post is really just to say sorry that you haven't received a helpful reply (or any reply for that matter) yet in over a week. On this forum, that doesn't usually happen and is normally proud to help very quickly, especially new(ish)comers to the forum.

So again, appologies for you not receiving a reply, but hopefully someone who has experience of this platform will see this and try to offer some advice.

Edit @ a Mod: Also this thread could do with being moved from the Graphics to the Mainboard section of Overclocking

I got mine to 2.5ghz stable with a 221Mhz bus which was stable under cinebench but i never got chance to use prime before the cpu voltage degraded itself so i can now only maintain sub 4ghz frequencies (took about 3 weeks to degrade btw, mIght of even been the power supply playing up which i rma'd). i used 1.243v with load line calibrations enabled and spread spectrums disabled. Will obviously depend on your individual board if it's stable or not but give it a go and see where it gets you
