NAND makers reportedly struggle to improve QLC yields

Hey Mark(or anyone) do you know if it's possible that despite QLC being inherently slower, is it still able to reach speeds that modern NVMe drives can? Whether they are x4 or x2?
If they could it would be something I'd definitely want.
 
My understanding was that QLC, MLC and SLC where only to do with density and didn't affect the bandwidth.
So SLC needs more physical packages to deliver the same level of storage but if it is being addressed by the same controller then speeds should be roughly the same.
I'm not sure however if latency increases.
 
SLC flash memory can withstand many more writes and erasures than MLC memory. This is to do with the density of information being stored on an SLC unit compared to an MLC one.

After some reading apparently SLC is faster too
