N97 *wants*

This thing is pretty much all I'm looking for. I want the G1 but it has a couple of downers I'm not happy about such as no 3.5mm headphone jack. There are a few other little gripes but hey.

Anyway this N97 is pretty much perfect apart from one major crapness ... I really want an Android OS phone.

If only this wasn't on Symbian

Dont fancy the Samsun i8510 Innov8 then mate? A lot of peeps have been saying suffers from lesser issues than the N97 and is much better built.

How come u don't like Symbian btw? Its much better than fugly Windows Mobile and a lot more mature than Android (which eats batteries like a duracell bunny).

Na man, this N97 will have a much bigger screenie and various other lil toys I'd wanna play with. That said that i8510 does have a rather tasty camera and the accelerometer thrown in. How does anyone know what issues the N97 has when it's far from out? If you meant the N96.. I don't wanna touch it really... It doesn't really offer much above my N95 silver and to be honest I want a lil more from my phone this time. The browser on the original N95 sucks bum cheeks.

All Symbian phones I've had have always been a lil buggy.. Not majorly, but just enough to **** me off a little.

Really wanna give Android a crack due to it open-ness and from playing on the G1 it seems pretty responsive even in its infancy.

Would have the G1 now if P4U stocked it as they would buy me out of my contract with 3 which runs out on 6th Feb.. Spose I'll just have to wait and see what is out then... Few more Android phones on the way start of next year apparently including a samsung one.

What is it you're running again now?? Too hard to keep track

Edit: Ok just had a lil read and watched a lil video on youtube about the i8510 and the camera on it is slick. If I wanted a 'normal' shape phone then that would get serious consideration!

I'd have a read around some forums before contemplatign the G1 though. I was reading yesterday and it seem the phone has problems making it through a single day without needing a recharge.

Yeah well now I've gotta wait the G1 is probably not gonna happen.. I'd just wait for something else..

Just gonna read some forum stuff on it anyway out of curiosity... got all the windows open ready to read but on the phone now.
