My screen can't detect the CPU

i have a really old compaq presario pc here with intergrated graphics and without any RAM. for some reason, i can't seem to get a connection with my monitor (any monitor). could it be that the vga port is faulty? or because i didn't put any RAM into it?

it would be the last option, you havent any ram.
