Storm G5 SimpLi rig completed!! Finally, comments?!

Well guys its been a long time coming, finally got my loop setup!

The specs:

LRWB Storm G5

AquaXtreme MP-1

Thermochill PA160

AquaXtreme 50Z.

Hardware Spec:

Opty 146

DFI Ultra-D

Sapphire X850XT @ PE clocks.

2*512mb Twinmos CH-5 UTT

Seagate 120GB

Creative X-Fi MusicXtreme

Here is a picture of the bare case, a beautiful Lian-Li PC-61. Notice the front space for the radiator (done as to Marci's guide!) and the small hole on the 5 1/4 bay to allow neater cable wiring.

Next up, the case with basic hardware installed, so I could try tube routing and lengths ready for cutting.

Here is the loop assembled and then fitted, it has already been leak tested outside of rig at this point.

Wires! Gotta have em, but i'd rather not! Here you see my cunning routing of cables coming into play.

Shroud attached, memory installed, X-Fi installed. Ready to roll!

Well I hope you all like it! I know I put the MP-1 before the G5 in the loop, which im still not sure about, but attempting to route it any other way either created kinks or lots of extra distance, so I settled for this being acceptable. Now as a rough guide to you, I found that GPU: Idle, 28. Load, 33. CPU: Idle, 31. Load 35. However thats just a rough read out from MBM and ATItool, in no way accurate.

Thanks for reading, feel free to post any suggestions or comments!

Nice setup, with great temps shame you cant rotate the PA160 because it's no symmetrical otherwise your routing could have been a lot easier, but these things are sent to try us.

How far can you push the Opty?

Hmm, well I thought that too, but my loop has very minimal tube length so its really not going to get any better... Plus I was quite happy how well it all looked, no kinking whatsoever (that I can tell)...

Lovely buddy. As Sacha said - very neat & tidy, deserves a PC65 window. What is your Opty clocked at?

Just a little update;

Trying to get my opty stable at 3ghz at the mo... oddly I could run 2960 before 1m pi stable on air, but I cant now.. going to try and remount block when I get the chance...

Cheers!

A very nice system, and good choice of components :B

It's got to be worth a re-mount as that sounds like contact to me. Check the CPU temps and it'll give you a good idea whether it is :)

Whip the IHS off, I lost 10 degrees on my load temps when I took mine off yesterday :) Nice work by the way mate, I like the wires, very clean :)

Some more pics, the wiring gets neater!

The rear, where the magic wiring really goes on (masking tape for the win!) :
