my first self build

Case : Fractal Design Core 3000
Mobo : ASRock Z68 Extreme4 gen3
CPU : i7 2600K @ 4.6GHz
GPU : Gigabyte GTX670 Windforce X3
RAM : Corsair Dominator Platinum 4x4GB 1600MHz
CPU Cooler : Corsair H80i
PSU : Corsair AX750
SSD : OCZ Agility 3 120 GB(OS) & 240GB(Games)
HDD : Western Digital Green 3TB

going to add another gtx 670 and needs a bit more cable management

yeah the sata cables would bug the hell out of me lol but really nice colours.

thanks ...... yeah bug the hell out of me too . i`ll have to figure something out , though there arn`t many hiding places in the case

Measure the distance from the hdd's to the sata ports and maybe try and get a cable close to that length.

And then try to hide them behind the video card cables.

eBay has 15cm ones all the way up to insanely long ones.

Not sure how easy it is to mod a cable (cut a cable to length and reconnect the the connector.

and switch on the side is to switch all fans off for ultra silent mode

yeah good idea . i dont think i`m going to be able to work with the blue cables , unless i can dismantle and rebuild them without destroying them

You could buy longer sata cables and run them behind the motherboard and get them to come out at the CPU cutout and them just run them down to the HDDs ?

space is very tight behind the motherboard ( 10mm maybe 15mm and most of my current cables ) and also i had to modify the cpu cutout to fit the cooler as it is . suppose i could have look when i have an hour or so

you know when you see people sitting on there suit cases to get them to close because its so full ???........ my back side panel is a bit like that :s so hopefully it wont hurt to have a look lol

Hadn't thought about longer cables, good suggestion.

You could even run it from the sata port behind and then round the front panel and back in below the hdd cage...... lol.

Seem a little awkward seeing as the video cables are there to help disguise them....

I'm sure you'll sort it though... especially if its. bugging you that much

cut a piece of perspex or make a tiny L shape piece and cover them betwen the rom and hdd bay but towards the back so sort as possible.
