My Rig | 600T | ASRock extreme7 | 7950 | h100i

To be honest its not looking anywhere as good as i planed! Needs work doing to it, the gpu sag is annoying me but i think thats down to the psu having short cables so it pulling on it, ill be getting all cable extentions so thats going to get sorted. I have an idea how to stop gpu sag but dont have the skill and tools to make the part =[ hiding the hdd makes a big difference! But yours is looking good!

well its looking good to start with, i dont think i like blue motherboards if you changed that i think it would be a large improvemnet. its strange that your cables are to short on a be quiet psu? especaly in a 600t? well you could use soemthing like lego to make a stand or you could use a lathe or something to make a prop? THANK YOU!

nice build, I allways smile when I see a Corsair 600t build =D

THANK YOU i love the 600t

Z68 :O my god man, Upgrade, if your not upgrading at least once every 2 months you cant call yourself an enthusiast !!!
I jest ^_^, Nice looking build you got :)

haha yeh i know the chipset is old! when i bourght the board then dident do a z77 version i still dont know if the do, but i think its worth getting a haswell and going from there i might try doing another build sometime next year.

Quick update its not huge but i took out the plastic bit on the bottom because i was to lazy to take it out last time :P and now it looks much neater, i just need to buy some of the AX white individual cables. I'm taking a serious look into what SSD to buy now so if any one has any ideas please let me know i think i will ask else where on the form :P I decided to go against the 2 X OCZ Vertex 4 256gb because apparently they are not very reliable?

so after that i'm just looking for New RAM any sugestions for that also would be nice beucse i now have no idea what would look nice in this build the plan was black and white so mabey dom plats? or i could get red vengeance pro?

New fans i'm looking for some better 2x front 200mm fans? and then the rear fan will be a corsair AF fan and some SP fans for the h100i

more lighting it will be led and i herd bitfenix do good lighting?
(SORRY FOR THE IPHONE PICTURE QUALITY )

there doesnt seem to be any 200mm fans going about, i want non light ones, and nice quiet, even at slow speeds this one is loud! not good! but keep us updatd please :)

Thank you so much! i will order these as soon as i can, THEY ARE WHITE TOOOO!!!!

Edit: i found one called the FZ 200mm LED these might be better for what im after? http://www.nzxt.com/product/detail/121-fz-200mm-led-case-fan.html

there nice but i think ill go with the non LED ones, I have LED strips in my case so i dont need any more lights. I will be fitting a switch in my case for me LED's, I am taking the lock out of the top of the case and replacing it with this

there is a hole the other side so you might get away with putting it in that side and then keeping the lock!

The bitfenix ones are nice but what ones are better those or the NZXT ones?

I have just dug up some pictures of my first attempt at this rig, its good to laugh at what it was :P lets just say I've learnt allot over the past few years!

Looks Great. It's some of the best lighting I've seen.
I'm building a new system and want to setup the lighting similar to your first pictures.
Makes it look like a trophy case.
I was wondering if you have any advice on what size cathodes you used? any placement advice? I see you've got the CPU area lite up too.
Sometimes i see lighting and its just way too saturated, for the look I'm going for.
Maybe a 12" at the bottom and a 6" on top?
Any other advice would be helpful.

Thanks,

Sorry i got back to you so late
1) I did not realize you posted on this
2) i've been ill for the past couple of weeks so i haven't been heavily looking over the forums, i hope i can still help.

I felt on this build my lighting let me down a little due to every one saying i should buy leds and they are most likely right ive been meaning to get some for a while now, but the cathodes do give quite a different more solid consistent light compared with the leds if you are talking about the first pictures This..
Computer1.jpg

It was actually achieved with some cheap £10 12" cold cathodes from amazon one on the top stuck the the side panel and the other stepped back about 10mm stuck onto the bottom of the case the thing is i had it about 2 months and the top cathode broke and as of yet i haven't repaired/replaced it so it gives it a bottom glow but it feels to dark, now after using a snap on torch to find the lighting points i have found i will leave the cathode in the bottom and add another 12" to the top then add some leds to the front facing backwards to achieve this affect kind of effect (imagine the cpu area is lit up as shown in previous photo) (sorry about the ssd mount not being powder coated its undergoing some modifications)

prior to this front lighting this was the effect

I do apologize for the crappy phone quality it was taken with an iphone 5 :)
Hope this helps
