My Prometeia GT arrives next week

i will be using a zalman case cooling the cpu first

next i will add a second GT on top replacing the single head with duals from

under the ice on 8800gtx's

I run a pelt in my 24/7 box and have for years,i like them more than most. How come the gpu can only do 25c ?,my 172w will hold less than 10c on a 120/2,depending on ambients. Some nice builds you have done there so far,but your new future one sounds mean, will you do the phase mods yourself ?

Very clean builds, and I like the style too! :)

The Zalman case is over-sized so how are you planning on fitting the phase units?

pictures went hawire oopppss

the mod for the phase i have afriend in hvac who was to project , who am i to deny him his fun, ill start a log then the first parts com in, thanks for looking

and once again sorry for the sloppy pictures not sure why they ended up all over

ill do a webpage next time and drop it in , ober and out welchwerks.com

sorry i missed your question ,

i will be using the lain li mod black base which is the same size minus .5 om back and remoming the feet the fun is cutting a professional clean square for the head to come up through

ill post soon iand i promose to improve the look of my posts ,this is my first ,:(

P.S. very happy to see high caliber builds and help beeing offered :)

I'd love to see some peltier powered GPU's, how that fit, how they peform when running 2d or idle for prolonge periods.

I have often thought of tinkering with pelts, just never had the full understanding of what is doen to make sure they work faultlessly.

Great work by the way, thanks for sharing.

Cheers

My first pelt GPU

seems some of you are getting better temps then i did

what i was using was

8800GTS

swiftech pelt

meanwell 320 15 volt maxed to 19 pelts max

and was tried my toughpower 850

onlt to get the same temps any ideas

I think that swifty is only an 80w,so that might explain a bit.Did you experiment with any lower voltages ? because higher is not always better. What rad and pump were you using ? I use a 172w 24v tec with a 24v meanwell,a pa120/2 and an aq50z with 2 x 105cfm panaflo's and on a chilly night,i get idle of about -5c and 10/12c under heavy load with an x1900xtx and it is happiest at 18v,the meanwells lowest.Btw if you need a black lian li mach kit,i have a bnib one for sale.Looking forward to your build log.

Its the 172 watt 12v, w/ 12 meanwell 320 15v with a MCP 655 pump and swiftech 320 Rad with 3- 81 cfm Fans and the 8800 GTS OC 320MB

Liquid Cooled Thermoelectric Waterblock Assembly for Graphics Processors

its still trial and error for me getting temps low like yours ,Just asking ? what were you wanting including shipping to Zip 98123 Las Vegas NV also is the box opened

also looks like a may hit you up for specs to improve a pelt build coming up on a local friends build

pelt wire guage is a big factor

i was using 14 guage wire matching the wire on the pelt, i do think i should go thicker 10Guage due to the heat generated in the wire itself, all future mods will have this change

Hmm got a question, can you connect the Peltier directly from your molex connectors? if so do you use all the wires on the molex or just the black and yellow ones?.

The other question would be how do you determine how many Peltier cells you can hook up to a power supply aside from wattage? Example with a powerfull 1000 Watt Psu how many Peltier cells would I be able to attach?
