My PC build - With a new Case!

You can actually disable the CPU PLL Voltage? I thought you could only set it to auto or other presets?

Hi

I was having a look last night in the Bios.

My PC currently doesnt actually have any Operating System on it at the moment (long story)

Anyway I will be Re-installing My windows tonight and will start overclocking.

But, When you said "By all-cores" The option There only says Auto and wont allow me to change it? but it says (changable in OS)

Is there something in the bios i have to disable to allow this to become changable?

Change the "AI Overclock Tuner" option to "Manual" first.

EDIT: Then change the "Turbo Ratio" option to "By all Cores".

yea its set to manual and it already said "by all cores" for me, but i cant change the Turbo Ratio becuase it says "auto"?

Which version of the P8P67 board do you have? I have the pro version so there may be some differences, which I doubt.

EDIT: You may need to update the BIOS. Do a google search for "updating Asus P8P67 bios" and then you should be able to change the multiplier. Other people were having trouble changing the multiplier and the problem was fixed by updating the BIOS.

Im not sure, I cant check either as im at work, perhaps you can tell from these older Pics of when it was built?

Looks like the motherboard doesnt say PRO on it?

hmm, well im now on this PC after re-installing win 7, ive updated bios to 1805 i think it was? And i still cant change it, the cpu PPL voltage is on auto and i cant change that either?

My cpu currently says its 3.7ghz

the CPU voltage is set at 1.165V and the Vcore says 1.248V

This is completely stock, i havnt change anything in the bios as of yet

Yes, when in the BIOS, the CPU will run faster than it does at idle on Windows. This is the reason why the speed is higher as well as the voltages. I'm not sure why you are not able to change the multiplier, because a BIOS update should have fixed that issue. Are you sure you have updated to the latest bios?
