My newly upgraded gaming rig

I built my first rig about 4 years ago and I needed an upgrade inorder to play BF3 and soon to be Ghost Recon: Future Solider. So I spent about 2 months researching and speaking to people on the forum and finally made a decision and this is what I chose:

Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 Motherboard

AMD FX-4 4100 CPU @ 4.5Ghz

NZXT Havik 120 CPU cooler

Sapphire HD 7850 GPU

Corsair TX650 PSU

Corsair Vengeance 4GB DDR3 memory

Coolermaster HAF 932 (already had)

LG DVD RW optical drive

250GB HD (can't remember what the make was it used to be my old HD)

Gah, turn the cooler round!

You are just sucking hot air straight off your gpu, which will not help your overclock on the cpu

Pretty tidy build tho XD

I agree with Wassupdoc, turn your CPU cooler round to make the most of the front/back cooling in the case. Other than that it looks a nice tidy build!

Notice you're from Worthing; what part do you live in? I grew up there.

The 8150 gave BD such a bad rep that people totally overlook the 4100 which is actually a stonking little chip, a versatile performer if a touch power hungry.

Easy fix mate, on the crossbar put the tow ling parts on top instead of underneath. Is what i did with my Havik 140mm when i had it. Fits perfect

yer I was really supprised how much of a difference it made. I think it was because the cooler was closer to the rear fan meaning the air flowed was faster unlike before.

Hey, I just joined this board and found this thread. I was hoping to view the pics of the cpu orientation because I just ordered this mobo with an 8150 and will use a rocketfish universal cooler that I have lying around never used. It's been a while since I installed an AMD. lol
