My moniters 13 years old...

Thats right. Recently i noticed my old 15" had started getting darker.

typed in goldstar on google.

and my moniter dates to 1994, far as i can tell mine was originally intended for office use.

(would explain why its lasted so well)

however, much the same as a dotty old relative the geriatric old gits got to go, so, when i go back to school and earn my precious EMA I'll need a new screen, was thinking of a tft.

anyone know any good moniters for about 100-120 pounds including delivery that I coudl get my greasy little mitts on?

cheers,

Take a Scan through this listing:

http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Prod...TemplateID=18&ShowProducts=Y&OrderBy=PriceAsc

Scrolly down through the sections and u`ll find some ASUS, Viewsonic, LG. Anything from a 20" square panel to 19" widescreens. Don`t know how good the Daewoo ones are, but they seem well priced.

Meh.

What the pun!

My experience of 19" wides are, they are too small. They feel really small compared to a 19" square.

For that reason, my vote goes to a 20" square...

hehe ya.

There is a fine line actually. I mean widescreen is all well and good (speaking as a convert myself), but I think these 19" ones sync to 1440x900 or similar.

Then u`ve got the price vS quality factor where u could find a 17" square panel costing the same as a 20" square, but the picture quality is better.

I`d expect jumping from a 15" crt, a £100 or so 17" square screen would be impressive.

Gotta keep an eye on those resolutions tho.

i'm selling a 19" samsung in my thread for £100, and you could collect it so i could knock off postage, making it about 90, let me know :)
