my mobo - good?!

my mobo the Jetway S755MAX can (if nout else lol) turn the voltages up on things extremly high! the ram to 8v and the processor to 5 and the agp to 4.5:eek: the only problem with that is that you can turn up the voltage, but you cant turn up the fsb, i was absolutly amased bout it, but i presume the dfi lanparty 250 gb is better! lol

RAM up to 8v?? Riiiight...

Anyway voltage adjustment is all well and good, but if you can't adjust the FSB (HTT) then you can't overclock....and the LANPARTY will OC and is a much better board. :)

ionicle ive warned you before, you cant go messing with voltages like that when you have bad cooling, seriously, get a good board, some really powerful air cooling or simple water cooling , and then considor OC'ing, plus, from the way your talking i dont think you understand the basics of overclocking at all. if you need to know, wait until you have a good board and some decent cooling, then ask one of the mods for help, as they can give you links for some good windows programs that will help you to get started.

yep^ ok i turned em all up and my processor was runnin @ 60*C so i aint gonna try that again anytime soon, if it rases temp's by 10 degrees!:D as my normal temp is between 45 unloaded and 50-53 loaded:( thats the processor by the way n i think it is a bit too hot, but what can i do bout it? new fans wil hardly make a difference, as it is a generally warm room

lol i meant ask a more experienced member, ionicles planning to make a fantastically overpowered 64 bit system, whereas i mess around with old celerons and that kind of system, so i really dont know much about boards like the lan party

talkign of whicj, are the the rumors about an nforce 4 chipset coming out in a few months true or a load of rubbish? its just some web rumor i saw a few weeks back, and i doubt theres any truth in it, but any info you had woud be appreciated

Yeah how about don't screw with stuff you don't know about.

If you want to OC I suggest you wait till you get a decent board and then research exactly what to do (plenty of excellent guides on SX) and then have a go.

No wonder your PC broke before!!

oh dear oh dear, i think i need to be taken to the old geeks home or summat, im behind the times, ive been messing with old pc's for too long lol

this is making more and more sense! lol so dont do out with this p.c unitl i get a new mobo, then reaserch it throughly and know exactly what to do, every posibility, and then do it!!,

and deepfried, your p.c aint that old, when you get a new socket A processor, i mean a asus mobo with n force 2 chipset! its quite good actually, stil not 64 bit:Dbut quite good!!

dont patronize me ionicle i know how good my board is, and its quiet a lot better than yours, anyway, can we get on the actual subject on hand...umm what IS the subject?
