God I remember those.

By the looks of it, it looks in pretty darn good condition considering. Some retirement stuff going on there.

Was my first ever computer too,

She's as pristine as the day she built.

Works perfectly too.

Still have fun writing code on it.

The almost thirty year old packaging makes me grin everytime. Ahhh that smell.:yumyum:

Nice one, Wow need to post your 3Dmark & SuperPi figures:)

I had a ZX80, and I think I binned it about 20 years ago along with Pong. What a plonker!

You should hang on to that.

A working example of one of the first home computers in good condition might well be worth big bucks to a collector? Especially with the original box.

I would have a look online for collectors or science museums etc and flog it. With a bit of luck you might get a really good offer as I'll bet there are'nt many around in working order. :D

Blast from the past! I would hold on to it and pass it down to my kids. Saying that though, I showed my 9 yr old daughter my ZX81 and hooked it up to the TV, within a few minutes she was bored and wanted to go on a 'proper' computer - sacriledge!!

The old skool stuff is very collectable nowadays, and I wish I had kept hold of alot more from back then.

Cool, as said above, probably a collectable ;-)

I wish I'd kept hold of my 1st computers

I can't remember which I bought 1st? I think it was a Superboard II, which had nice individual keys, with a massive 16K mem

but casette memory storage was primitive.

Also had ZX81 and assorted Spectrum's, those were the days of peek-n-poke etc.

Edit# forgot one... the Enterprise "with obsolecence built-out" (there catch phrase) shortly after they went into receivership, pity, as it was actually a really nice pc, compared to spectrum's etc.
