My Golf....

I'm perfectly fine...but really hacked off. Cost me enough to buy it and then to do all the servicing i've given it..just to go 30 mph sliding into a tree on some mud. ARRGGHHHHH

Just spent the whole day changing sensors and thermostat...

Well. It's not a write off as it seems to only be body damage and coolant leak. 2 years no claims...and £700 excess - do I really want to use this to pay for damages or should I just pay through the nose myself?

I'm so damn gutted though

Urgh tell me about it.

I was going literally about 30..start braking for the corner...abs kicks in...tyres do nothing and BOOM.

First accident since I started driving and its really annoyed me more than anything. Especially when I take such good care of a car and don't drive like a lot of the pricks on the road. On the plus side I get a nice new bumper/bonnet now eh?

Guess what the student load is being spent on? ...

That's bloody unfortunate mate. When driving to work in the morning I was on a roundabout and my car slid while going 20mph and I was lucky there was no car to the left of me. I have been driving for nearly 4 years now and I'm like you in the sense that I drive pretty safely, but I've been lucky enough not to have had an experience like yours. Glad to hear you're OK though mate.

It's crazy how you see some people drive so recklessly yet they have had no accidents (well we can only assume that seeing how fast and aggressively they drive). An accident would surely set them straight though. You car is getting a kind of makeover, so I guess you have something good coming out of an unfortunate situation.
