My gaming/work station

Hey guys, I've been around for a few years now but don't really post that much. Just been through my room and done a massive throwout. So now my desk is finally in a state that i can photograph and not be embarrassed.
Not many photo's cos my rig doesn't have a window and the side panel is a pain to get off because the radiator is too fat :p

So a quick rundown,
My rig is still as listed in my signature, a fair bit of cutting had to occur to mount the rad in the top of the case, and I'm not completely happy with how the pump and res had to be mounted but it all works. Originally i bought a ARC mini case but couldn't get the radiator to fit between the VRM heat-sinks on the motherboard and the side panel. So the choice was either grind material off the VRM heat-sink or buy a larger case, i opted for the later as it seemed safer :D

The amp you can see is a harman kardon PM645 I got it free and repaired it and now it sounds great.

The little unit to the right of the amp is a chinese made DAC called a zero, it's received pretty good reviews and performs well above its price bracket. I take optical audio out from the motherboard as the input.

The speakers are a kit called JV60's relatively cheap but once again perform very well for the price. And the headphones are beyerdynamic DT770 pro's 80 ohm.

The reason for the lamp is because i do a fair amount of diy robotics and electronics so constantly have my soldering iron set up, or looking through wiring diagrams trying to fault find.

The computer on top of the shelves is my linux server, it has my old AMD 1090T and runs like a champ. It currently resides in the chopped up arc mini that i originally bought for my main rig.

The mouse is a deathadder and the keyboard is a g110. Really happy with the mouse, if it breaks ill buy another one. Keyboard is ok would like to upgrade it when i get some extra cash

I built the shelves myself out of aluminum extrusion that i had left over from another project.

Yeah the dust seems trapped in the filter, I took it off and gave it a good vacuum but there's still that last little bit hanging on.

I have the Arc Mini R2 myself and the front dust filter can be a pain the ass to get clean. As it's not the best nor the finest dust filter out there.

If compressed air doesn't do the trick, try a vacuum cleaner on it and if that doesn't do it... then put it under draining water and then let it completely dry off before reinstalling. Then it should be good to go :)
