We'll i completed my first proper OC this weekend and can deffinatly see the difference :D

OC'ed a PowerColor ATI Radeon HD 4670 PCS 1024MB GDDR3

OC'ed to:

GPU @ 800MHz

Memory @ 950MHz

I think i might be able to get the memory a bit higher and the card is still running at a nice temp :)

Anyway just saying congrats to me ;) Now to learn how to do the CPU..

Edit: Anyone got any pointers for getting it that wee bit higher? Cheers

Grats on ur 1st OC m8. (u are on the path now, theres no turning back :p)

As for tips on the rest, give the forum a real scout around, theres loads of info on here.

Basic, most basic, wall u bang ur head against is heat. All the other components, bus speeds, voltages, all pit their wits against u to produce more and more heat the higher u go. The components have their operational limits, so the better u can cool them, the better.

Nice1.

Might grab a aftermarket cooler then and see how much further i can push it. God this is turning into a addiction :p

Whats a good temp for my gfx card to sit at idle and while gaming?

Cheers :wavey:

Edit:Updated to the lastest clock

About 35-40 Celcius while idle is good and about 60 -70 while gaming, a bit over 70 is acceptable when playing high-end games. e.g. Crysis.

Between 34 and 39. Havent tried Crysis: Warhead since my OC so ill prolly try that later :)

Edit: Also clocked my CPU now from 2.90GHz to 3.04GHz tomorrow when i get my new PSU im going to try upto 3.20GHz :)
