Hi,
I work on very clear monitor LED 23" IPS panel but my eye start to burn right away when I start gaming, turn red with feel of pain. I use anti reflection eyewear glass and also I use gaming glass from gunnar (got it from amazon) but it did not work!.

of course I went to an eyes doctor but he said that my eyes are good only they suffer from dryness so he give me an eye drop but it also did not work !!

Any one have the same problem and got an idea let me know it please.

Thanks

Sounds like as soon as you start gaming you are just not blinking. That leads to the dryness, irritation, redness and thus the pain. Surprised the opthalmologist gave you eye drops for it unless you get the dryness outside of gaming.

Do you also get it while just looking at screens for a long period or is it only during gaming?

Quick help- look away from the screen every few minutes just to give your eyes a quick rest. Same reason you should take a 10-15 min break every hour when you are at the screens.

it could be a STD and you should definitely go see your GP. It will probably turn out to be a bladder infection or a UTI and the doctor can put you on an antibiotic to clear it up pretty quickly. other than that cranberry juice and drinking plenty of water might help..

Erm, it's EYES burning not burning when you pee that he was asking about

Could also be poor configuration of the monitor settings - try turning down the brightness a little so the colours arent so strong and vivid.

Alternatively, download F.lux and give that a try - It will automatically adjust the screen colours, temps and brightness depending on the time of day (a slightly blue hue in the morning, normal during the day, decreased brightness and yellow hue in the evening).

Failing that, try sitting a little further back from the monitor :)

I get this too BTW, what I normally do is wash my face before I sit down for a gaming session (Helps wet my eyes somehow, I dunno), and have something like a drink by my side so I'm forced to take my eyes of the screen once in a while (When I die/Ect)

I also found that putting my monitor's brightness on minimum and turning off my room light actually helped the situation, might be worth a try for ya :)

Many Thanks for all replies and concern.

While working I turn down brightness and site back for a distance so no severe problem only washing my eyes with water is enough but while gaming I must increase brightness and contrast to see the graphics and enemies! so nothing actually helped.

Just found this on amazon what do you think
http://amzn.com/B004X0AXJ6 is it better than gunnar ?

I might also try drops like this one
