My Dual Xeon Workstation Rig

This rig isn't intended as a hardcore gaming rig. It's a Workstation for 3D that can do a bit of gaming.
Specs are:
2X Xeon 2650 (8-core)
2X H60 SE (running off Molex)
Asus Z9-PE-D8 WS
64GB of DDR3
(32GB 1600 DDR3 Kingston Value RAM + 16GB G.Skill, the red stuff + 16GB transcend)
MSI GTX 780
2X Intel 520 SSD in RAID 0
2TB WD Black
Cosmos II
Corsair AX760.
Windows 7
LG Blu-ray (I like my movies)

I apologise for the "noob bages"

The flash makes it look like a Christmas tree

Hope you guys like it and give me feedback on how to improve it and tidy it up a bit

Over the next year I plan on adding:
Registered ECC 16GB sticks for 128GB.
Xeon 2660 v2's
4X 120GB Intel 520 SSDs
A GTX Titan.
AX760i
4x 2TB WD Blacks in RAID 5
I hope I can get the money together.

Ways to clean it up will mean the board coming out.

GPU cables I think need to go from the side grommets

USB cables - take board out and put through inner grommet and run behind mobo along the bottom and then just poke them out for the connections.

Take the beeper out lol

Get some Silverstone DS11 sata cables...

Really dont like the hot swap bays being wired up unless you actually remove drives - Id actually hise all the sata's in the lower chamber

get rid of the optical

get some cables for the PSU that all match

get some heatsinks for the ram and run them all the same no a random set of Gskill

Get rid of the fan thats on its own - spin the rear fan round as intake and put a dustfilter on the back

Hmm that's a big job, may have to leave it for the other side of Christmas. for now I've just moved the USB cables through one of the side holes. The beeper is gone.

Those are just extensions, I've moved the 8 pins connectors into the bottom so they meet with the PSU rather than mobo, but the ATX is different on the PSU so it has to stay there, unless you know if the cables from the corsair kit are longer. The fan on it's own is gone. And I've ordered the dust filter.

I can understand the optical for movies, but does your motherboard not support USBs as bootable devices? If it does, you'd be better off using USBs for installs.

Personally, I have had a total of about 5 successful Windows installs without any errors during the process from discs out of countless installs. Also, I have never had a Windows disc work without saying a file was missing or corrupt after 1 install. IMHO discs are completely unreliable for OS installs compared to USB.

I've never had a issue with disc installs. I just use the Windows discs, I don't burn a downloaded version. Yeah I could just ghost image the c: drive and load it on via network but I still like having the BD-R in there. A USB BD-R on the desk could make all the difference.

Only thing I don't like is that you put stickers on the front of such a classy looking (and expensive) case.

Thanks, the speed daemon stickers have been torn off, but I'd like to keep the Xeons, I like CPU badges.
I've take most of Tom's advice onboard and ordered some blue RAM heatsinks, the G.Skill is gone, I'll order a dust filter and I'll put the fan around the other way and I'll also order some blue/black extension cables and sata cables, though I wasn't able to find the ones Tom mentioned. I thought it may be nice to add a Cooler Caster LED fan at the back to give the rig a blue black theme http://www.coolermaster.com/product/Detail/cooling/case-fan/bc-140-blue-led-fan.html

I would like to keep the hot swap bays active and use the optical drive, perhaps an external one would be better.
