Hello OC3D.

Thought I'd post my system. It's quite old but it still does it's job.
Will upgrade soon to 3570k/mpower and probably a gtx670 in a white Switch 810 and hopefully watercool it soon after that.
Specs:

  • MSI P43/E8400@3.6/Scythe Ninja 3 / 4GB RAM
  • Gigabyte GTX460 1GB/ Xonar D2X
  • WD 640GB
  • CM Silent Pro M600 / Antec 300 / Scythe Kaze Master Pro
Sadly the motherboard has a fsb wall of 405Mhz so I can't get higher than 3.6Ghz.

Wow, the cable management is incredible for a case like that! I really like how clean you've managed to make it, especially with the mods you've done. :)

Well done man. The Antec 300 was the first case I ever bought so itll always have a spot in my heart. I still have it and built the wife a computer out of it. Your cable management looks a lot better than mine does in that case. That aint an easy thing to do with it, so again, well done.

Haha, yea it's quite massive. I bought it when I decided that I would like to try overclocking and first advice when overclocking is to get rid of stock cooler. So I started reading reviews and people were saying that this cooler it's pretty good and it was on sale also, so I went with it. Later I found that mobo has a fsb wall.

Holy bananas, that's really tidy!

I'm not sure why but I just have a weakness for older system that are built with modern standards in regards to cable management and overall tidiness.

And bloody hell, is that a PATA drive? Awesome!

Haha, yea it's a PATA drive. Brings back memories of when I installed my first hardware, which was a optical drive as well and had to use it in slave-master mode with a HDD.
Barely use it anymore, maybe once a month but no point in throwing it away while it still works :D. Once it dies I doubt I'll buy another one.

It's been ages since I've last used PATA. But yeah, the whole thing really was something different than today's SATA stuff.

Can't remember how many times I had errors coming out of that whole Master/Slave thing. Some finicky stuff only ran on master, and I think I remember a CD burner that I could only get to run as slave with no master drive attached .

Fun times.

That cable management is incredible! If I didn't love building my own systems, I'd send every build I plan to you for construction. I mean just WOW! Blew my expectations away with this one. Honestly man, I can't wait to see what you can do with a better gaming case. MOAR UPDATES!

Thanks dude!
This was my first attempt at a mini mod, can't really call it a mod since it's just a couple of WM holes.
I'll probably buy some u-channel to make it look just a bit tidier and maybe a window mod at a later date :).

My God... dat IDE cable x-D. Glad to see you're still getting use out of what is otherwise legacy tech, and in a VERY tidy manner of fashion I might add.
