4TB is insane. I'd rather have two 2TB's in RAID1 because there's no way I will ever accumulate that much data. Pricing sounds very good though.

Meh I've already passed the turning point.

Right now 256gb for a boot SSD is more than enough.

Right now a 480gb SSD for game storage is more than enough. I don't need 2000 games downloaded on my PC that I don't play.

Right now music and movies and so on do not need to be put on an SSD. Honestly that's just ridiculous.

The way my rig is built the drives are all in the right hand side panel so I never hear them. The only big advantage I can see for these massive SSDs is that little tiny ITX rigs will be able to have the same sort of storage as a desktop PC due to the drives being smaller.

Having an SSD for 'data' does not make things download any quicker.

With all of that moaning though I'm sure within a few years there will be no more mechanical drives any way so I will have them like it or not :D

I've been all ssd since I built my first pc. Using them as a data drive is still beneficial. All my programs and files that are associated with them(music, games, etc) instantly load. It's a huge deal imo. Using any computer without an ssd takes forever to load in comparison and I'm constantly tapping my fingers against the mouse waiting for it to load. So unlike you ALX imo its very worth it and seeing 4tb drives really makes me want to get them:)

Just think, you can finally get all your HD pr0n off mechanical disks for good! :D

But seriously, I'd MUCH rather boot an all-SSD system. So much faster. Not to mention when you punch / kick your PC in a drunken rampage, you're less likely to lose data. :)

I want an all SSD system as HDD's sometimes have a habit of making things rattle and although it's not loud it starts to annoy me after a while.

What's taking you so long :p

My 2TB HDD has a lot of stuff on it, Movies, High bit rate audio, Documents, Pics, Programmes, PS1/2, Gamecube, N64, Dreamcast, Wii, S/NES, Megadrive emulators and games and a butt ton of mods for various games which all comes to 1.5TB so I need to wait for Corsair to bring something out.

It's not fanboyism trust me it's slight OCD, I have to have all the same brands otherwise to me it feels out of place ^_^

Why don't you use a NAS and move the HDD out of the system and then you can say you running an all SSD system :p

I may be a little confused by your post it sounds a little oxymoronic, you say that it's too big and you don't need that size SSD in your rig then you say that it would be advantageous in ITX rigs as it would have the same sort of storage as a normal desktop PC... so is it good or bad?

Well i think you will be waiting cause it looks like Corsair is in no hurry, Corsair hasn't even come out with a M.2 drive

Well they sell 960GB SSD's so higher caps would be the logical next step :)

What i'm trying to say is they're going to be left behind cause there dragging the A** along the ground where other companies namely Samsung and other companies.

M.2 drives have been out for like 2 years and Corsair has nothing not even a NVMe drive
