Nice looking specs, although the lack of cosmetic bling wasn't something I expected from Mushkin. It appears that some retailers already have these on sale for around US$200.00, it'd be nice if we get one of these babies to let Jim get his teeth into.
Ah man, I got into a touch of trouble over this... (not trouble really) This thing be Topower made to Mushkin specs. As for the no bling, they wanted to go for the clean, pro look. They wanted to go for top-spec, top-quality, hoping to compete with PCP&C and Zippy.
Sore guys Ill stick with my antec PSU's, I did however go out on a limb and get the BFG one, But at the time I needed a psu and i got this one so blah. I will give em time to prove themselves first
i got an 380w truepower S and its below the specs for the gfx card but its rock stable and tomshardware has tested it and manage to pull 471w before their psu shutdown safely.
Yes there are some anecs that do not do very well. The true power series are very nice and are the only ones i usually get. But raven Mine do seem to get a bit warm, Its just one and thats the 330 or 350 cant remmber off hand, and its on a folder in the farm, so its not taxed my any means, might be just be getting old.
They are also SOOOOO silent. I have to put my hand in the back just to make sure its on.
Now back on topic, If they had something cheaper I would maybe try it out. I find that Usual home tourture is the best way to see how something works. Thats what returns are for
So if any you guys got the cash and the time , give her a shoot and let us know how well it does.
EDIT: yes I agree the newer ones dont do so well so I agree there. But you can get a rock solid 550tp for a nice price and cheaper. But for anyone thinking about Antec STAY AWAY FROM THE NEO
single fan so its even more silent than the ordinary truepower series but new times comes and so does the need for a stronger psu so will be interesting to se a review on this perticular psu and what the price will be but probably to high for me.
Maybe we should see if they'll send one to one of our US members for a prelim testing (We know Jim has the better test equipment, but one of us can just do a very basic review )
Edit OT: My TPII 430W still running strong (want to get a silverstone 560W zeus though)
