Not sure if this is "new" news but take a look at this galaxy 570 which can run triple 1080p monitors, looks good too

(but IMO not really for hardcore gaming, more for working, light gaming and ppl that want nvidia + multi monitor - sli)

I really like the cooler.

1.5GB vram is too less for gaming on three monitors. Although for 3 screen multitasking it would be perfect, but then you'd be wasting the gaming horse power really.

He says it uses Galaxy specific software to get the 3 displays working. So alot of how it performs will be dependant on how good their supporting s/w is....

That would be great for a workstation! What a neat twist of a non-reference card.

There is also a 580 version of this card. The basic consensus though is that you need two cards for 3 displays minimum if you plan on gaming at the maximum resolutions. A single 580 just is not powerful enough. So in my mind it makes the card a bit pointless. Still a cool idea, and you need to push the boundaries to progress, but as for now triple display single card gaming is a dead end.

I do fancy those LEDs though, and the back-plate.

no the consensus is that 1.5Gb of memory is not enough for triple screen gaming. Not that the GTX580 isnt powerful enough or it cant run 3 screens for other uses.

yea, they should have used the 3gb version of the 580 and then it would be good, (heck my 580 runs two screens and i can max out games with really good frames, so i'm sure a 580 could play games on three screens, even if you had to lower the settings on some of the most demanding games it'd be real nice)

Like someone else said...when it comes to max resolution and displays, it's more about the amount of VRAM. A 3GB 580 would be perfectly sufficient for 3 display gaming, if it wasn't for a few flaws.
